Today we’re pleased to release redsn0w version 0.9.2, with support for all current iDevices. You can activate the jailbreak for iOS version 6.0 on their device. The big new feature of redsn0w 0.9.2 in comparison to the version v0.9.13 dev4, is that the jailbreak is untethered, and that it is available for all current devices.

New feature list:
  • untethered jailbreak for iOS 6
  • all devices from 3GS up to iPhone 5 (includes iPads)
  • the actual Cydia version
  • automatically “Just Boot” tethered when qualifying device connects in DFU mode
  • fetch new signed blobs for any IPSW (present or future — no redsn0w update required) using Extras->SHSH Blobs->New
  • deactivate any iPhone, useful for testing your “official” unlock status through iTunes.  (Please only deactivate your own iPhone!)
  • any time a set of blobs is fetched remotely (from Apple or Cydia), redsn0w also saves them locally (and will check there first if you click “Local”)
  • auto-exit WTF mode for older devices with broken buttons

To jailbreak your iPhone 5 (running iOS 6 ) or any other actual device and/or your iPad 3 (all Wi-Fi only, GSM & CDMA devices supported; must be running iOS 6) – select one of the links below to download your redsn0w 0.9.2 untethered jailbreak. Simply unzip the file, then install on your iOS mobile device with one click of a button!

NOTE: If you haven’t yet heeded the advice I gave weeks ago – before you take one step further, upgrade your firmware to iOS 6 NOW! Also, we don’t mean to beat you over the head with this warning, but please remember: you should not update to iOS 6.0.1 when it’s released, or you will lose your jailbreak!
As with all our previous redsn0w releases, should you run into any bugs in the jailbreak, leave us a comment or contact us. Even if we aren’t able to respond to your messages individually, we depend on all users to let us know about any issues you run into so that we can address them & fix the most-reported problems as quickly as possible.
